Ouch!

Ate something that made your tooth uncomfortable? Or received a hockey puck to the mouth? Following steps should be followed if you believe you have a cracked tooth or if you have a fragment of your tooth in your hand.

  • Give us a call to schedule an appointment at (253) 336-3000 . Let us know about your emergency and we will make our best effort to see you right away.
  • If any tooth fragments have fallen out, keep them moist (cold milk, water, saliva) in a clean container and bring them to your dentist appointment to show them to them.
  • Apply a cold pack to your jaw to lessen any pain and swelling.
  • If bleeding, bite down on a gauze pad until bleeding stops. Call us to schedule a phone consultation with your dentist.

It is possible to have a cracked tooth and not know it.

It is essential to have it looked at if you experience any discomfort when biting down or when eating something hot or cold. It’s critical to fix a damaged tooth as soon as possible in order to avoid more decay or an infection. See your dentist soon as you can to restore the tooth properly without any further damage.

If you would like more information or need a dental checkup, please schedule an appointment with your best local dentist in Kent at Seablue Dental.
